A pro-settlement group called the Professors for a Strong Israel petitioned the High Court against evacuation orders of four illegal outposts.
The petitioners claim that the orders are illegal and infringe on their basic civil rights.
They also claim that settlers have not received sufficient time to prove ownership of the land, and have requested the court issue holding orders against the evacuation.
On Monday OC Central Command Maj. Gen. Moshe Kaplinski signed a general order for the removal of the Ginot Arieh outpost, a few hundred meters south of the Ofra settlement, along with three other micro-outposts that dot the West Bank.
Kaplinski’s order follows an “executive order,” issued on Sunday by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon and Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz which aims to accelerate the evacuation process of the four wildcat outposts, and possibly others like them in the near future.
